FAQ FROM THE ETS INSTALL BAY
Q: Is it really legal on front windscreens?
A: Yes in VIC if it stays above 75% VLT. In shade/garage/night, this tests 78%. We’ve had customers VLT-tested by police and passed. You get the spec sheet to keep in glovebox.

Q: How dark does it actually get?
A: Like a light-medium smoke. Think 35% tint. Not limo black. Enough to cut heat + glare, not enough to get defected.

Q: Can I install this myself?
A: If you’ve done normal tint before, yes. It’s thicker and needs more slip. First time? Don’t learn on a windscreen. Buy the film + add “ETS Install” at checkout if you’re in VIC.

Q: How long to change?
A: 30sec to darken in direct sun. 2min to go back to clear in shade/garage.

Advantage of photochromic film :

 

Photochromic window film become darken in response to UV light in less than one minute, and continue to be darker a little over the next ten minutes. This film begin hIGH VLT in the absence of UV light, and will be noticeably lighter within two minutes, mostly clear within five minutes, and fully back to their non-exposed state in about fifteen minutes.

 

This film will prevents sunlight from achieving true sunglass darkness in very hot weather.

 

How to install:

 

1.Clear glass very well inside and out.(Install inside)

 

2.Cut film roughly to window size (a little bigger).

 

3.Spray the glass with water on the outside.

 

4.Execute better film on the glass. Remove protective film from tint - stick tape on both sides of corner and pull.

 

5.Apply tint with sticky side to the window using water.

 

6.Removal of significant air and water with plastic spatula.

 

7.Cut properly to window size.

 

8.When installation is finished, do not wash your car 2-3 days to dry the film.
